Visitation: 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday, December 4, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln

Obituary

Melvin "Mel" Buse, 86, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2015, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday also at the funeral home with Pastor Miller from the First Christian Church, Allenville officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland.

Mel was born December 5, 1928, in Logan County, the son of Fred and Freada (Schrader) Buse. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 263 and the Eagles Lodge Number 2708. He was formerly employed at Lehn and Fink and Stetson's China.

 

Funeral Directors

Surviving are his sister Dorothy Chaney of Allenville, nephew Mike Chaney (Karen) of Toledo, niece Judy Woodord (Don) of Gays, nephew Steve Chaney (Ramona) of Allenville, nephew Lynn Buse (Tammy) of Hartsburg, several great nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Wayne Buse, and his nephew, Darren Buse.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
