On Thursday afternoon, Atlanta Masonic Lodge Master Kenny Cook (right) and Lodge Secretary Bill Horn (left) presented Amy Naughton of the Atlanta Park District with a check in the amount of $525. The money is designated to help cover the cost of an electrical wiring project completed this year in the basement of the Atlanta Community Center.

Mrs. Schreiner's Kindergarten Class	Mrs. Fitzpatrick's First Grade Class

Pictured Logan County Ag Literacy Coordinator, Amy Hyde, recently visited Mrs. Schreiner's Kindergarten class and Mrs. Fitzpatrick’s first grade class at West Lincoln-Broadwell School. In tune with the season, Hyde spoke to the children about turkey’s and the farms on which they are raised.

Hyde conducts the Ag in the Classroom Program throughout Logan County. Each month she visits 47 different classrooms in 12 Logan County schools. Each month has a different ag-related topic formatted to relate to the age level of the class.

The Ag in the Classroom Program is funded by the University of Illinois Extension, the Logan County Farm Bureau, and many generous donors throughout the county.
