The Toppers down by nine early in the first half rallied back
strong to tie the game at halftime 23 – 23.
Both teams came out confident in the third, and the game
remained tied after three hard-fought quarters, 36 – 36.
The Toppers went into a box and one against the sharp shooting
Elmore from Lutheran and stopped her from scoring from the
field, but she was strong from the line hitting 6 for 6 in the
fourth.
At the final buzzer the Lady Toppers came up short 49 – 40 to
bring their record to 5 – 5.
Elmore had 27 on the night for Springfield Lutheran as did
Skylar Hayes for the hosting Toppers.
Lady Toppers Alyssa Bridge contributed 10, while Elizabeth
Seibert had a bucket and Breanna Rentmeister 1.
