NBA roundup: Warriors outlast Celtics, stay unbeaten

BOSTON -- NBA scoring leader Stephen Curry hit two free with 13.4 seconds remaining in double overtime and scored 38 points as the Golden State Warriors improved to 24-0 with a 124-119 victory over the Boston Celtics on Friday.

Curry shot 9 of 27 but was still able to score at least 30 points for the 13th time. Forward Draymond Green collected 24 points and 11 rebounds for Golden State, which played without guard Klay Thompson and won its 28th straight regular-season game dating to last season.

Thompson missed his second game of the season with an ankle injury. He also missed the Nov. 14 against Brooklyn with a back injury and coincidentally the Warriors also won that game in overtime.

Reserve forward Kelly Olynyk scored a season-high 28 points for the Celtics, who forced overtime by rallying from an 11-point deficit. Guard Isaiah Thomas added 18 and 10 assists while backcourt mate Avery Bradley scored 15 of his 19 points in the first quarter.
 


Cavaliers 111, Magic 76

ORLANDO -- LeBron James scored 25 points in three quarters and Cleveland cruised to a wire-to-wire rout over Orlando.

James made 10 of 15 shots and added eight assists in 29 minutes. Twenty came in the first half and he sat out when Cleveland held a 83-52 lead after three.

Timofey Mozgov added 17 points and guard Iman Shumpert contributed 14 in his season debut for Cleveland, which improved the Eastern Conference's best record to 15-7.

Nikola Vucevic scored 14 points and was the only starter to reach double figures for Orlando, which lost its 12th straight game against Cleveland.

Raptors 90, Bucks 83

TORONTO -- DeMar DeRozan scored 27 points Toronto defeated Milwaukee.

Kyle Lowry added 19 points, including the clinching layup with 24.4 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

Khris Middleton led the Bucks with 26 points and Giannis Antetokounmpo added 15.

Pacers 96, Heat 83

INDIANAPOLIS -- Monta Ellis had 24 points, six assists and six assists and Indiana turned up its defense in a win over Miami.

Paul George added 23 as the Pacers rebounding from allowing 131 points Tuesday against Golden State. Indiana held Miami to 43.2 percent shooting from the field and forced 19 turnovers, including 13 steals.

Chris Bosh had his eighth double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds for Miami, which has lost its last nine trips to Indianapolis. Dwyane Wade added 20 and passed Hall of Famer Gail Goodrich (19,181) and moved into 48th place on the NBA's career scoring list.

Pelicans 107, Wizards 105

NEW ORLEANS -- Tyreke Evans scored 27 points and New Orleans rallied to defeat Washington.

Forward Anthony Davis added 18 and 11 rebounds for New Orleans, which shot 59.3 percent (16-of-27) from 3-point range and improved to 6-16.

Point guard John Wall collected 26 points and 12 assists for the Wizards, who held an 86-77 lead with 10 minutes remaining. Washington was unable to get the game to overtime when Gary Neal missed an 18-footer at the buzzer and fell to 9-12.

Pistons 107, 76ers 95

PHILADELPHIA -- Reggie Jackson and Marcus Morris scored 21 points apiece and the Detroit raced out to a big lead in a win over Philadelphia.

Andre Drummond produced 18 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks for the Pistons, who opened a 24-point lead in the first quarter and used a 28-10 run to seize control in the second half.

Rookie Jahlil Okafor scored 22 points for the 76ers (1-23), who have lost five straight since beating the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 1. Robert Covington added 18 points but Philadelphia had 21 turnovers and it led to 31 Detroit points.

Hornets 123, Pelicans 99

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Kemba Walker scored 33 points and Charlotte routed Memphis.

Nicolas Batum added 20 for the Hornets, who tied a season-high with its fourth straight win. Charlotte has won nine of its last 11 games with the only losses coming to Cleveland and Golden State.

Marc Gasol led the Grizzlies with 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

Spurs 109, Lakers 87

SAN ANTONIO -- LaMarcus Aldridge scored 24 points and collected 11 rebounds in 27 minutes and San Antonio coasted past Los Angeles.

Patty Mills scored a season-best 22 for San Antonio (19-5), converting 9 of 11 shots. Forward Kawhi Leonard added 16 as the Spurs improved to 12-0 at home.

Rookie D'Angelo Russell led the Lakers (3-20) with a season-high 24 points while also contributing six rebounds and six assists. Kobe Bryant scored 12 points in his penultimate game in San Antonio.
 


Thunder 94, Jazz 90

SALT LAKE CITY -- Kevin Durant scored the final 11 points and finished with 21 overall as Oklahoma City thwarted a late rally by Utah.

Russell Westbrook nearly had a triple-double for Oklahoma City,finishing with 24 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

Gordon Hayward had 19 points and eight rebounds for Utah, which couldn't overcome a rough start while falling at home to Oklahoma City for the second time in less than three weeks.

Trail Blazers 106, Suns 96

PHOENIX -- CJ McCollum scored 26 points and Portland scored 13 straight points late in the fourth quarter to defeat Portland.

Damian Lillard and Allan Crabbe added 18 points apiece for the Trail Blazers, who faced a four-point deficit entering the fourth.

Eric Bledsoe scored 31 points for the Suns.

Nuggets 111, Timberwolves 108 (OT)

DENVER -- Danilo Gallinari scored nine of his 23 points in overtime and Denver rallied to beat Minnesota.

Jameer Nelson added 20 points and seven assists while Kenneth Faried collected 14 and 12 rebounds as Denver ended a five-game home losing streak. The Nuggets won despite losing rookie Emmanuel Mudiay to a sprained ankle in the first half.

Andrew Wiggins and Kevin Martin scored 22 points apiece for Minnesota, which led by 15 at halftime.
