[December 25, 2015]  LINCOLN -  Ashley Elizabeth (Newton) Colebar, 22, of Lincoln, passed away December 23, 2015 at her residence.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday. December 28, 2015 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Service: Funeral services will follow at 7PM Monday, also at the funeral home. Cremation rites will then be accorded. There will be no burial at this time.

Obituary

Ashley Elizabeth (Newton) Colebar, 22, of Lincoln, passed away December 22, 2015 at her residence.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday. December 28, 2015 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will follow at 7PM Monday, also at the funeral home. Cremation rites will then be accorded. There will be no burial at this time.

Ashley was born February 28, 1993, the daughter of Phillip and Sue (Moran) Newton.

She attended LCHS. She loved music, and was extremely creative. She enjoyed making you tube videos and hemp necklaces and bracelets. Ashley was a naturalist and was passionate about conservation and the environment. She enjoyed spending time with friends and loved her brother and sister deeply. Her daughter was the light of her life. She loved her with all that she had. Ashley had great potential, but her demons were just too strong. Everyone who knew Ashley loved her. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral Directors

Surviving are her parents, Phillip and Sue (Moran) Newton of Lincoln, IL.; paternal grandparents Karl “Fig” and Donna Newton of Beason, IL.; maternal grandmother Kathryn Clutts of Petersburg, IL.; daughter Katy Scarlet Colebar of Lincoln, IL.; brother Evan Newton and sister Kathryn Newton both of Lincoln, IL.; her canine companion Bella; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Robert Moran and her maternal step grandfather Arthur Clutts.

Memorial donations may be made to the Gateway Program and will be accepted at the funeral home.
