Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah will be sidelined for at least two weeks after sprained his left shoulder on Monday night.

Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg told reporters on Tuesday that Noah will be re-evaluated in two weeks. He suffered the injury when he became tangled up with Nets cetner Andrea Bargnani during Chicago's 105-102 loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

The nine-year veteran is averaging a career-low 4.5 points per game and shooting 40.4 percent from the field this season.

The Minnesota Timberwolves recalled rookie point guard Tyus Jones from Idaho of the NBA Development League on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old Jones, a first-round selection from Duke by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2015 NBA Draft before a trade, averaged 24.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 steals for the Stampede in six games. He shot 48.7 percent from the field and 42.6 percent from 3-point range.

Jones has played in two games for the Timberwolves this season and averaged 0.5 points and 6.9 minutes.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

The Hawaii men's basketball was placed on a one-year postseason ban for next season, stripped of two scholarships the next two seasons and faces a three-year probation for ethics violations by a former coach.

The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions announced the sanctions on Tuesday after former coach Gib Arnold was determined to have breached conduct rules by failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance and provided misleading information during a yearlong investigation.

Arnold received a three-year show-cause penalty that extends through Dec. 21, 2018. He coached the Rainbow Warriors to a 72-55 overall record in four seasons before he was ousted in October 2014. Former assistant Brandyn Akana also received a two-year show-cause penalty.

---Southern Miss and former head coach Donnie Tyndall will appear before the NCAA committee on infractions in January.

CBS Sports reported the meeting would be held in Indianapolis on Jan. 21. Southern Miss self-imposed postseason bans in 2015 and 2016.

The NCAA rendered seven Level I violations against Southern Miss, including fraudulent academic credit and impermissible financial aid. Tyndall was Southern Miss coach from 2012 to 2014. Tennessee self-reported to the NCAA a secondary violation that occurred during the lone season Tyndall spent with the program. He committed at least one Level II/Level III NCAA violation with the Volunteers, the Knoxville News-Sentinel reported Tuesday. Tyndall was fired on March 27 by the university.
