 DALLAS -- Patrick Sharp had a goal and an assist and Kari Lehtonen stopped all 22 shots he faced in the Dallas Stars' 3-0 win against the St. Louis Blues on Sunday at American Airlines Center.

Lehtonen earned his 33rd career shutout and third of the season.

Jamie Benn and Cody Eakin also scored for Dallas, which got two of its goals while on the power play.

Panthers 3, Blue Jackets 2

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Aleksander Barkov scored twice as Florida defeated Columbus.

The win was the Panthers' sixth straight, their longest unbeaten streak since a seven game stretch March 2-16, 2008.

Aaron Ekblad scored Florida's other goal in the first period and Brandon Saad and Cam Atkinson scored for the Blue Jackets.

Maple Leafs 3, Islanders 1

NEW YORK -- Jonathan Bernier stopped 25 shots, and Toronto made two quick second-period goals stand up in a win over the New York Islanders at Barclays Center.

Tyler Bozak, James van Riemsdyk and Michael Grabner scored 1:40 apart for the Maple Leafs, who have won three of four and are 5-1-2 in their past eight games.

Nikolay Kulemin scored his third goal of the season for the Islanders and Thomas Greiss made 35 saves.

Senators 3, Bruins 1

OTTAWA -- Craig Anderson's standout performance helped Ottawa beat Boston at Canadian Tire Centre.

Anderson made 38 saves as Ottawa snapped its two-game losing streak and extended Boston's slump to three games. Mark Stone scored twice and Mika Zibanejad had the other goal for the Senators.

David Krejci scored the lone Bruins goal but left the game at the end of the second period with an undisclosed injury. Tuukka Rask stopped 20 shots in the Bruins net.

Hurricanes 2, Blackhawks 1

CHICAGO -- Justin Faulk and Victor Rask scored on wrist shots as Carolina its third game in the last four, defeating Chicago at the United Center.

In suffering its second straight loss, the Blackhawks avoided its second shutout in a row and what would have been its fourth of the season had it not been for Brent Seabrook's sixth goal of the season with three seconds left in the game.

Eddie Lack made 35 saves for the Hurricanes and Corey Crawford stopped 25 for Chicago.

Ducks 4, Flyers 2

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Corey Perry scored twice to give Anaheim a win over Philadelphia in front of a standing-room-only crowd of 17,322 at the Honda Center.

John Gibson stopped 24 shots for the Ducks, who broke a two-game losing streak while giving the Flyers just their third defeat in regulation this month.

Ryan Getzlaf and Shawn Horcoff also scored for the Ducks while Jakub Voracek and Michael Raffl scored for the Flyers.

Jets 1, Penguins 0

WINNIPEG -- After going into the Christmas break on a downer, Winnipeg resumed play with a win over Pittsburgh.

The Jets' Connor Hellebuyck posted his first NHL shutout, stopping 30 shots while Bryan Little beat the Penguins' Jeff Zatkoff to the glove side on a penalty shot. It was Little's team-high 14th goal of the season.

Coyotes 2, Avalanche 1 (OT)

DENVER -- Mikkel Boedker scored at 4:18 of overtime and Arizona beat Colorado.

Boedker added an assist and Michael Stone scored the other goal for the Coyotes, who won a night after falling in a shootout to Los Angeles. Anders Lindback had 38 saves for Arizona.

Semyon Varlamov made 26 saves and Jarome Iginla scored for the Avalanche. It was Iginla's 599th career goal.
 


Flames 5, Oilers 3

CALGARY, Alberta -- Johnny Gaudreau scored twice in a wild second period to help Calgary rally for a win over Edmonton.

Mark Giordano scored a pair of power-play goals -- one in the second period and another in the third -- as the Flames erased 2-0 and 3-1 deficits to win their 11th straight home game, setting a franchise record in the process.

Matt Stajan also scored for the Flames, while Karri Ramo made 28 saves. Benoit Pouliot scored twice in the first period for the Oilers, while his linemates, Ryan-Nugent Hopkins and Jordan Eberle, had two assists each.
