[December 30, 2015]  LINCOLN - Andi Hake, President & CEO announced her resignation during a regularly scheduled meeting of the Alliance board of directors on Wednesday, December 16, 2015.

Hake has held the position of President and CEO of the Logan County Alliance since January 1, 2015. Prior to accepting the lead staff position in the Alliance, she held the position of executive director of the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce since June 6, 2008. Hake cited personal reasons for her decision to leave her post. Hake’s official last day on the job as president and CEO will be January 29, 2016. However, the Alliance Board will be contracting with Hake to complete and maintain certain projects until the transition of her replacement is complete or the Board feels they are no longer in need of her services. The Alliance Board of Directors will conduct an executive search to fill the position.

Hake’s statement:

When I accepted the position as the Chamber executive director in 2008, it was my plan to move on from the organization once my son graduated from high school. In May of 2016, this major milestone will happen. The Alliance festival season, however, begins in June and I realized this would not be the best time of the year for the Alliance to be searching for a new president. It seemed wise to resign at the beginning of the year and allow the Board ample time to find a new president and CEO.

It has been my honor to serve as the executive director of the Chamber of Commerce for seven years and President and CEO of the Alliance for the last year. Over the years, I set many goals for myself in these roles and I have met and/or exceeded all of them during my tenure. I know it is the right time for the Alliance and for me to make this change. I know, with the exceptional leadership of the board of directors and dedicated staff, the Alliance will move through this transition smoothly and successfully.

Working with and meeting some of the most generous and caring people has been the highlight of my career. It has been a privilege to work with so many people who care so much about their community and who are willing to share their time, talents, and other resources for the greater good of Lincoln and Logan County. I share any credit for the accomplishments of the Chamber and the Alliance with our members, staff, and volunteers. Without these amazing people, nothing would have been possible. I take a great deal of pride in my work over the last seven and a half years, and I treasure the relationships I have developed over those years.

It is my desire to help the board and staff during this transition to ensure it goes as smoothly as possible. I am committed to helping as long as they need my assistance. I want nothing but success for the Logan County Alliance and the remarkable staff.

Board of Directors Statement:

We are saddened to see Andi leave. She has proven her dedication to serving the community and to the organization. She has been a strong leader and guided the board and staff through a year of transition and learning. We are pleased that Andi is going to continue to work with the Alliance board and staff on important projects for an indefinite period of time. Her commitment to the Alliance’s success is obvious and we were better off for having Andi as our leader this past year. The entire board wishes Andi nothing but success in her new endeavors and is appreciative of her willingness to continue to serve the organization as we need.
