Reminder:  Republican Primary election to be held at the Logan County Courthouse

[February 03, 2015]  LINCOLN - The Logan County Courthouse will host the February 24, 2015 City of Lincoln Ward 3 Republican Primary.

The County Clerk determined that such a small election did not warrant opening and staffing a polling place other than that of the Courthouse. “This election is so small, and turnout generally so light, that it better serves the people of Logan County to host it right here at the courthouse”, Logan County Clerk Sally Turner stated.

The first floor judge’s chambers located immediately inside the courthouse doors will serve as the polling place for only this election. “The Republican voters of Ward 3 will be able to access the polling place without having to go through security, and can also easily access the handicapped elevator on the outside of the building. We will also mark several parking spaces off on the south east side of the courthouse square labeled Election Day Voter Parking Only”, the County Clerk added.

Turner advised that this will be the only election held at the Courthouse, and the April 7, Consolidated Election will be held at the usual polling places throughout Logan County.

The February 24, 2015 City of Lincoln Ward 3 Republican Primary is open to registered voters only in that Ward. Early and Absentee Voting is going on now, and will continue through Monday, February 23. The last day to request an Absentee Ballot by Mail is Thursday, February 19, and the last day to Grace Period Register and Vote is Saturday morning, February 21 from 10:00 – 12:00.
