CEL Panthers earn State Tournament Birth

[February 06, 2015]  LINCOLN - After capturing 3rd place in the 8th grade state tournament one year ago, the Chester-East Lincoln Panthers are back again.

The 7th grade Panthers are going to state on Saturday with a 46-37 victory over Holy Family from Decatur.

CEL lead from the tip and never trailed to earn a spot in a 10 a.m. game against Jamaica. The game will be played in St. Joseph

Noah Funk led the Panthers with 15 points, Will Ewald had 12 points, Jaden Pollice scored 10 points, it was four points each for Isaac Dewberry and Thomas Morris and one point for Austin Prater.
