LCHS speech team headed to Regional this Saturday

[February 06, 2015]  LINCOLN - The Lincoln Community High School speech team attended their last regular speech tournament prior to the state series in Belleville Saturday.

Overall, the Lincoln team placed 3rd among small-entry schools and 12th out of 24.



Sophomore Claire Conrady won the junior varsity division of Dramatic Interpretation.



Other finalists from the tournament include: juniors Braden Tanner & Zac McCray, 2nd in Varsity Humorous Duet Acting; junior McKenzie Landers and freshman Justin Woods, 2nd in JV HDA; juniors Lena Stapleton and Colton Clark, 4th in JV HDA; Conrady, 6th in varsity Original Comedy; sophomore Belle Smith, 3rd in JV Oratorical Declamation; and sophomore Jake Berglin, 4th in JV Prose Reading.

The team travels to the Regional competition for IHSA Saturday, Feb. 7th at Normal University High School. The top four finalists advance to Sectional competition at Normal Community West High School the following week.
