Bowling for Books Tournament Fundraiser Feb. 7th

[February 06, 2015]  Text to be posted  On Saturday February 7, the Atlanta Public Library and Museum will hold a Bowling for Books Tournament Fundraiser at the Redwing Bowl in Atlanta.

Proceeds will benefit the children's programs at the library.

The event will be a 9-pin tournament with four person teams.

The Handicap will be 80 percent of 220.  Current average will be used to determine handicap.  If you have no average the handicap will be 150 for women and 175 for men.

Prizes will include $200 for first prize and $100 for second.  There will also be prizes for high game, low game, any 300 game, all-spare games, best team name and last place team.

Games will be played in shifts starting at 3:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 9 p.m.

There will also be a Bake Sale and Chinese Auction going on throughout the day at the Teleologic Learning Company at the corner of Arch and Race Streets.

Ever popular baked goods will be offered along with an excellent selection of auction items.  Auction items include exercise and movie baskets; gift cards for restaurant dinners, haircuts, golf, and more; coffee and tea baskets; car detailing; stuffed-full Italian and Mexican baskets; hand-embroidered sweatshirts; hand-made specialty wreaths; and much more.
