[February 06, 2015]  LINCOLN - Marvin L. Crumpler, 86, of Lincoln, passed away at 9:20 a.m. February 3, 2015 at his home.

Visitation: Monday, February 9  from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 9, immediately following the visitation at the funeral home.

Obituary

Marvin L. Crumpler, 86, of Lincoln, passed away at 9:20 a.m. February 3, 2015 at his home.

Marvin was born March 11, 1928 at New Holland, the son of Virgil and Minnie Schrader Crumpler. He married Nellie Daughtery March 2, 1963 at New Holland. She survives in Lincoln.

Marvin is also survived by one son: Ronnie D. (Ruth) Crumpler of Springfield; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy; daughter, Deborah Crumpler; one brother, Merritt; and one sister, Doris Oltmanns.

 

Marvin had driven a truck for Rush Trucking Company. He served in the U.S. Army.

Services for Marvin will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln where full military rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to Logan County Food Bank.
