CEL Panther 7th and 8th Grade volleyball wins one, loses one

[February 07, 2015]  LINCOLN -- On Tuesday, February3rd the CEL girls volleyball team hosted Carroll Catholic. The Panthers won both the 7th and 8th Grade matches. The 7th Grade won in 3 sets and the 8th Grade won in 2 sets.

Leading the 7th Grade game is Service Points was Alivia Payne and Kate Miller with 10 each followed by Brooke Kitner with 5. Kitner dominated the net with 17 Kills followed by Saristen Morgan with 3. Payne led the team in Assists with 20 followed by Morgan with 12 and Kitner with 6

In the 8th Grade game, Mackenzie Antone led the team in Service points with 14, 6 of them aces. She was followed by Brookelyn Roach with 5 and Brooke Kitner with 4. Antoine led the offense with 7 kills followed by Paityn Hughes with 5. Ashton Rodriguez led in Assists with 18 followed by Antoine with 9 and Hughes 5.

On Thursday, February 5 the Panthers hosted St. Agnes. The Panthers lost both the 7th and 8th Grade matches in 3 sets each.

Saristen Morgan led the 7th Grade Panthers in Service points with 5 followed by Brooke Kitner and Alivia Payne with 4 each. Kitner led the team with 4 Kills followed by Morgan with 2. Payne once again led in Assists with 12. Kitner contributed 5 followed by Morgan with 4.

In the 8th Grade game, Alyson Cully led in Service Points with 11 followed by Mackenzie Antoine 9 and Kaiya Hughes with 5. Antoine led the Panthers in Kills with 7 followed by Paityn Hughes with 4 and Jenna Brandt 2. Ashton Rodriguez also led in Assists with 32 followed by Antoine with 16 an Brandt with 14.
