[February 11, 2015]  Feb 10 (The Sports Xchange) - Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Steve Mason will miss the next two or three weeks after suffering a lower-body injury during Sunday's game against the Washington Capitals.

Ray Emery, who has a 9-9-1 record with a .886 save percentage and a 3.34 goals-against average this season, will take over as the starter while Mason is out and 21-year-old Anthony Stolarz will be the backup.

The Anaheim Ducks placed goaltender Frederik Andersen on injured reserve Tuesday and recalled goalie John Gibson from Norfolk of the American Hockey League.

Andersen, who had been listed as day to day with an upper-body injury, was hurt during the third period of the Ducks' 5-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday when the goal fell on him.

Defenseman Stu Bickel and forward Brett Sutter were recalled by the Minnesota Wild from the team's AHL affiliate (Iowa Wild) to replace forwards Ryan Carter and Jason Zucker.

Carter and Zucker were placed on injured reserve with upper body injuries.

Forwards Taylor Hall and Benoit Pouliot were placed on injured reserve by the Edmonton Oilers, who recalled goaltender Richard Bachman and winger Ryan Hamilton from the American Hockey League's Oklahoma City Barons.

Bachman was promoted on emergency recall. He posted a 14-4-3 record in 22 games this season with the Barons. Hamilton registered 29 points (15 goals), six penalty minutes and a plus-11 rating in 32 games with the Barons this season. (Editing by Andrew Both)
