At the end of the night $1,750 was raised to benefit someone who
is battling cancer and both schools have a connections.
In Mount Pulaski, the recipient of an $875 check was Mark Stewart,
father of two and grandfather of five girls, who all have a love for
volleyball and their Grandpa in their heart.
In the CEL community, a family who wished to remain private will
also be getting a check for $875.
Mount Pulaski Coach Donna Dulle, who turned down compliments on her
tremendous effort and instead recognized her chief organizer, Sue
Reeter and the crowd by saying, "I am amazed every year when we do
this, how you guys help each other out. Thanks for your support."
Dulle and her staff organize two of these cancer fundraisers a year.
On this particular night, the high school was host to a chili supper
as well as raffles and a 50/50 drawing. The winner of the Donna
Vaughan cake was none other than Sue Reeter, while Reeter along with
Dulle and MPHS Athletic Director Kristin Rucks-Smith gave each of
the recipients a gift card tree. The 50/50 worth $514 to the winner
was won by Stan Anderson, father of Mount Pulaski Honeybear, Callie
Anderson.
7th grade game
Meanwhile on the court it was a sweep for Mount Pulaski. The 7th
grade won 25-5 and 25-15.
Isabella Wade led the Honeybears with 11 aces and Olivia Cooper had
5 aces. Paige Stewart had 5 kills for Mount Pulaski.
Saristen Morgan and Brooke Kitner had 4 and 3 service points
respectively for the Panthers.

8th grade game
The Mount Pulaski 8th grade won 25-15 and 25-17.
Abigail Fitzpatrick and Skylar Hayes each had 7 kills for the
Honeybears. Ainsley Chandler and Hayes also had 5 and 3 aces
respectively. Olivia Knoedler also chipped in 2 aces for the
Honeybears.
For the Panthers Ashton Rodriguez had 5 service points and
Alyson Cully had 4 service points.
