Lincoln College Men's Volleyball

[February 14, 2015]  LINCOLN - On Thursday, the Lincoln College Men's Volleyball team hosted Quincy University (NCAA DII). LC (9-7) lost the match in four sets 19-25, 22-25, 25-23, 23-25.

LC Coach Mark Tippett:  "Even though this was considered an exhabition game for Quincy, they brought several of their varsity starters.

"We stood up well against them early in sets one and two, but their jump servers took us out of system too often for us to side out effectively. We got better as the match went on, and in sets three and four we really stepped up our game.

"It would have been fun to see it go to a fifth set. We have taken our lumps in the early going this season at home against some top notch programs.

"It has been a great learning experience for our players, and I am confident they will benefit from playing against such strong competition."

Lincoln is off until next Wednesday evening when they will travel to Peoria to play the Bradley University club team.
