Wolverines split two with the Bruins

[February 23, 2015]  LINCOLN - On Monday, the West Lincoln-Broadwell fifth and sixth grade Wolverines hosted the Mount Pulaski Bruins. The two schools split the night each taking home a win.

In the opener, the 5th grade Wolverines (4-2) won 19-8 behind a seven point performance from Brody Whiteman and four points from Scotty Battin.

Also scoring for WLB in the victory was, Daulton Miller (2), Keyton Schmalshof (2), Sam Gleason (2), and Kayden Aragon (2).

In the 6th grade contest, the Wolverines (2-3) fell by a final of 48-30.

Leading the Wolverines was Patrick McCraith with 16 points while Lucas Konczyk added 12 and Andre McAdams scored two.

Halftime entertainment was provided during the both games by the Future Stars Lincoln Cheer and Tumbling.

West Lincoln next plays host to the Bulldogs of Greenview on Tuesday with the fifth grade game set to tip at 6:00 p.m.
