[February 24, 2015]  Feb 23 (The Sports Xchange) - The Vancouver Canucks are bracing to be without goalie Ryan Miller for up to six weeks after he suffered an apparent leg injury Sunday in New York.

Miller, who was injured in a collision with teammate Jannik Hansen during Vancouver's 4-0 win over the Islanders, returned to Vancouver on Monday to undergo an MRI.

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Ben Chiarot will miss six weeks because of a broken hand suffered in a fight, coach Paul Maurice said.

Chiarot couldn't complete Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss in Toronto. He fought with Toronto Maple Leafs forward Daniel Winnik midway through the third period and went to the dressing room after spending time in the penalty box.

Ottawa Senators defenseman Jared Cowen has been suspended three games for interference against Florida Panthers forward Jussi Jokinen.

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Johnny Oduya is expected to miss two weeks with an upper-body injury suffered Sunday against the Boston Bruins, according to coach Joel Quenneville.

Oduya, 33, has two goals and five points in 60 games this season.

The Tampa Bay Lightning signed goaltender Allen York on Monday to a two-way NHL contract for the remainder of the season.

York, 25, has appeared in three games with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League this season, posting a record of 1-0-1.

The Anaheim Ducks recalled goaltender Jason LaBarbera from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.

LaBarbera, 35, has gone 2-0-1 with a 2.61 goals-against average and .909 save percentage in five games with the Ducks this season.

The Arizona Coyotes recalled defenseman Dylan Reese from the Portland Pirates of the AHL.

The 30-year-old native of Pittsburgh has recorded 25 points (19 assists) and a plus-11 rating in 51 games with the Pirates this season.

The Calgary Flames recalled forwards Michael Ferland and Emile Poirier from the Adirondack Flames of the AHL.
