[February 25, 2015]  Feb 24 (The Sports Xchange) - The New York Islanders announced Tuesday that Nick Leddy agreed to terms on a seven-year, $38.5 million extension that will keep him with the team through the 2021-22 season.

The 23-year-old defenseman has 25 points (eight goals, 17 assists) with a plus-12 rating in 61 games with the Islanders this season.

The Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday swapped right-winger Devante Smith-Pelly to the Montreal Canadiens for left-winger Jiri Sekac.

Sekac, 22, has appeared in 50 games with Montreal. Smith-Pelly, also 22, has appeared in 129 games with Anaheim.

The Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday announced they signed forward Jordan Nolan to a three-year extension.

The 25-year-old Nolan has appeared in 170 career NHL regular season games, all with the Kings, totaling 24 points and 155 penalty minutes. He was a seventh-round pick in the 2009 draft.

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that the club has recalled forward Brandon Kozun from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Kozun, 24, has skated in eight regular season games with the Maple Leafs this season collecting one goal and one assist.

The Nashville Predators sent defenseman Anthony Bitetto to Milwaukee of the American Hockey League on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old Bitetto has played in seven games for the Predators this season and has seven penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut on Jan. 17 against the Detroit Red Wings. In 46 games for Milwaukee, Bitetto has two goals and 23 assists. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
