[January 13, 2015]  WAYNESVILLE - Betty L. Cisco, 86 of Waynesville passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 920 a.m. at her home.

Visitation: Wednesday, one hour prior to the service

Service: Wednesday, January 14, at 11:00 a.m. at the Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta

Obituary

Betty L. Cisco, 86, of Waynesville passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at her home.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Cisco will be held on Wednesday, January 14, at 11:00 a.m. at the Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta with Mr. Dave Taylor officiating.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow the service at the Rock Creek Cemetery at rural Waynesville.

Betty L. Cisco was born in Waynesville on May 27, 1928 the daughter of Jesse and Martha McCallister Gelsthorpe.
She was united in marriage in January 23, 1948 to George S. Cisco. He preceded her in death in 2006.

She is survived by one son: Gene (Cathy) Cisco of Waynesville, Two sisters: Jen French and Mary Gelsthorpe. One brother: Jim Gelsthorpe. Two grandchildren: Ryan (Kristen) Cisco, Amy (Jamie) Prestegaard. Four great grandchildren: Aden, Morgan, Luke, Lucy.

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Evelyn Burger, Ruth Organ, Dorothy Rich. One brother Bud Gelsthorpe.
She graduated from the Waynesville High School in 1946.
She is a member of the Waynesville United Methodist Church.


Memorials may be made to the Waynesville Fire Department American Legion Auxilery and Advocate Hospice.
