[January 17, 2015]  The 2015 Bald Eagle Watch will be held the weekend of January 24th and 25th. This year’s programs and activities will take place at three locations at Starved Rock along the Illinois River, one mile south of Utica in LaSalle County.

Two of those locations will feature live birds of prey from the Illinois Raptor Center. One live raptor program at Starved Rock Lodge will feature IRC's Program Director, Jacques Nuzzo, while a second live raptor program held at the Army Corps Waterways Visitor Center will feature John James Audubon as portrayed by Brian Fox Ellis. A third live raptor program with a falconry demonstration will be presented at the Starved Rock Visitor Center.

Storytelling, photography programs, education programs and exhibits by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Audubon and Ameren Illinois will take place as well as children’s activities at all locations. A trolley runs between all three locations throughout the weekend. Bald Eagle Watch this year is being sponsored by Ameren Illinois and is free to the public.
