[January 23, 2015]  LINCOLN - As the new year approaches, resolutions are sure to follow including the popular resolution to get healthy. Healthy Communities Partnership has had the same goal for Logan County for almost 20 years. The vision of HCP is to make Logan County the healthiest community in America.

On January 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. one of those efforts is taking the form of a free viewing of FED UP at Lincoln Theatre 4 in Lincoln.

“We are excited to bring this opportunity to our community. Over 66 percent of adults in Logan County are overweight or obese. This film focuses on what it believes to be the causes of obesity and while the documentary focuses specifically on the sugar industry, it certainly helps remind us that we need to be informed consumers of the foods we eat,” said Angela Stoltzenburg, HCP manager.

The documentary film was directed, written, and produced by Stephanie Soechting. American journalist and TV personality Katie Couric also produced the documentary and is its narrator. The film premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival on January 19, 2014 and is rated PG.

Seats will be available first come, first serve on the day of the showing.
