[January 28, 2015]  LINCOLN - The Lady Red Lions of Lincoln Christian Univeristy (LCU) remain unbeaten at home after a commanding victory over the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) on Tuesday night. LCU dominated play from the beginning and never let up as they cruised to an easy 73-50 win.

LCU jumped out to an early 9-0 lead before the ITT Scarlet Hawks were able to mount any significant offense. The first half was all Red Lions as they lept out to a comfortable 41-24 lead by the half.

In the second period LCU continued to stretch the lead, adding another six points to the difference and making better shots than the first half. LCU came out on top 73-50 to go to 8-5 on the season.

Tatiana (Colclasure) Schlief (SR/Effingham, IL), after getting married over the break, opened the second half of her senior season as a force to be reckoned with by leading the scoring on the night with 24 points. She was followed by Abbey Akre (SO/Newark, IL) at 16 points who led in rebounds with 8. Schlief, Emily Borst (JR/Lincoln, IL) and Betty Elliott (SO/Crawfordsville, IN) each contributed 7 rebounds to the total. Borst also led in assists with 6, followed by Schief with 5. Borst also added 4 steals to round out the leaders.
