[January 28, 2015]  LINCOLN - Logan County Tourism Bureau is pleased to announce the launch of its new website www.destinationlogancountyil.com.  The new site has extensive Logan County content and was developed in partnership with a professional marketing firm that specializes in tourism and economic development. The Logan County Tourism Bureau website is designed to assist travelers and the community. The website focuses on providing information about Logan County and its many businesses, events and attractions to the world.

In addition to a new logo and tagline (OUR HISTORY. Your Adventure) that ties into the Logan County Tourism Bureau’s new branding, the bureau released, this week, the next big step towards the bureau’s vision of Logan County being a thriving Midwest tourist destination, showcasing the values, heritage, and history of the community.

The website will provide reliable and useful information while being a valuable resource for travelers. The new website will also serve as an important asset to showcase our community events. Community members and organizations are encouraged to visit www.destiantionlogan countyil.com  and submit their events to be posted in the event calendar section. The new site can be an all-inclusive calendar of events for all of Logan County as long as community members take advantage of the events submission section. If someone wants to have their event listed on this site and they are not tech savvy he/she can just give the Bureau a call and staff will enter it for them. “Tourism is really a community effort on many levels. Submitting events to us is just one way residents can help us promote tourism in Logan County.”, said Sarah Wallick, Tourism Director.
