Logan County Democrats annual chicken dinner to be held on the 18th. Annual raffle underway. Candidate Rob Mellon scheduled to attend

[July 14, 2015]  The Logan County Democrats Annual Chicken Dinner will be Saturday, July 18th at the American Legion in Lincoln. Serving will be from 5:00 -7:30 p.m, catered by Cesar Andrade of the Chestnut Family Restaurant. Home made desserts will be included.

The Logan County Democrats announce that Rob Mellon, the recent winner of the Special Primary Election, will attend the Logan County Democrats' Annual Chicken Dinner on Saturday, July 18th. He will be present to speak and to meet people attending the dinner.

Mellon is running in the Special Election for the 18th Congressional District. The Special Election will be September 10th to fill the seat vacated by Aaron Schock.

There will be a 50/50 drawing, door prizes, and much more.

Special Guest Speaker will be Bill Looby of the AFL-CIO and Senator Daniel Biss.

The theme this year is "Saluting Our Unions & State Workers". Union members are encouraged to wear their union logos!

The Logan County Democrats announce that their Annual Raffle this summer will be tickets for a CARDS/CUBS game on September 8th at Busch Stadium.

Included in the raffle is complimentary parking near the stadium, and complimentary buffet dinner in the Coca Cola Pavilion, so take your ball glove to catch the flies!

The drawing for the baseball tickets will be Saturday evening at the Logan County Fair.
