[July 14, 2015]  July 13 (The Sports Xchange) - Left-hander Dallas Keuchel of the Houston Astros and right-hander Zack Greinke of the Los Angeles Dodgers were named the starting pitchers for the All-Star Game.

The All-Star Game will be played in Cincinnati on Tuesday night at Great American Ball Park.

Keuchel is making his first All-Star appearance representing the Astros for the American League.

The 27-year-old Keuchel is 11-4 with a 2.23 ERA in 19 starts. His 137 1/3 innings pitched are the most in the majors this season. He has 114 strikeouts along with 34 walks.

Greinke, the 2009 Cy Young Award winner while with the Kansas City Royals, is 8-2 over 18 starts with a major-league-best 1.39 ERA in 123 1/3 innings for the first-place Dodgers. He has not allowed an earned run in his last five starts, a span of 35 2/3 innings.

Chicago White Sox left-hander Chris Sale will pitch in the All-Star Game after an agreement with manager Robin Ventura was worked out.

Sale has been hot since a May 12 start, going 6-3 with a 1.76 ERA and 131 strikeouts in 12 starts since then. Overall, he is 8-4 with a 2.72 ERA and 157 strikeouts in 119 1/3 innings.

Yost and Ventura came to an agreement that Sale, appearing in his fourth All-Star Game, would pitch one inning on Tuesday night. (Editing by Gene Cherry)
