[July 15, 2015]  LINCOLN - Blue Room – Logan County Safety Complex March 11, 2015

Present: Scott Schaffenacker; Kevin Bateman; Andy Anderson; David Hepler; Emily Davenport; Jan Schumacher
Absent:
Guests: Pam Meagher

Mr. Schaffenacker called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.

A motion was made by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mrs. Davenport, to approve the minutes from February 11, 2015 as printed. Motion passed.

Old Business:
The committee discussed pea gravel for the dog runs. Mr. Schaffenacker is requesting quotes for the pea gravel. Mr. Bateman volunteered to assist with spreading the gravel. Discussion regarding recycling was held. The committee would like to look into placing an aluminum can recycling receptacle in the Courthouse rotunda.

New Business: None

Administrator/Warden’s report:
Mrs. Parker reported she had 9 after hour calls this month. This was slower than normal for the month.

Mrs. Parker and staff have been invited to a DCFS meeting. Mrs. Parker and Mrs.
Whiteman will attend to collaborate on neglect of children and animals. Nothing further to report.

Budget:
Mr. Anderson asked why euthanasia expense was so high. Mrs. Parker reported the problem is due to under budgeting since tracking difference in euthanasia cost versus other vet expenses.

Mrs. Parker reported registration revenues are behind due to local vet changes.

A motion was made by Mr. Hepler, seconded by Mr. Anderson to pay the bills as presented for payment. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Hepler, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to enter executive session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2c1 – Personnel Matters. Roll call vote taken 5 yes 1 present. In Executive session at 6:23p.m. Returned to open session at 6:49p.m.

A motion was made by Mrs. Schumacher, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 6:50 pm.
