[July 15, 2015]  LINCOLN - Logan County Safety Complex February 9, 2015

Present: Bob Farmer; Chuck Ruben; Rick Aylesworth; Gene Rohlfs
Absent: Emily Davenport; Dave Hepler; Pat O’Neill
Guests: Bill Thomas

Mr. Hepler called the meeting to order at 6:51 pm.

A motion was made by Mr. Rohlfs, seconded by Mr. Ruben, to approve the minutes from the December 8, 2014 meeting as printed. Motion passed.

Old Business

Mr. Thomas updated the committee on the new medical marijuana facility. Mr. Thomas has a meeting tomorrow with a gentleman from Chicago to talk about construction. Mr. Thomas has been talking to Dominic Sergi about setting up an interview with him and inviting the community to ask questions. Mr. Thomas has not set up anything yet.

Partnership Directors Report:

Mr. Thomas is working with Mt. Pulaski on their Courthouse Construction project. Mr. Thomas will send Mrs. Freese a copy of a sample letter for the County to write to support the Mt. Pulaski Courthouse restoration project. A motion was made by Mr. Ruben, seconded by Mr. Aylesworth, to bring forward a motion on Thursday night to write a letter of support to Mt. Pulaski. Straw vote taken, motion passed. Mr. Thomas has a meeting tomorrow with Business Leaders in Elkhart. Mr. Thomas hopes to help them form their own Economic Development commission. Mr. Thomas has been working on getting LCU and LCC on getting students involved in college. Mr. Thomas is meeting with Mr. Hepler and another gentleman regarding the Wind Farms tomorrow morning.

A motion was made by Mr. Rohlfs, seconded by Mr. Ruben, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting ended at 7:15 pm.
