[July 15, 2015]  July 14 (The Sports Xchange) - Restricted free agent forwards Emerson Etem and Oscar Lindberg reached contract agreements with the New York Rangers on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old Etem split time between the Anaheim Ducks and Norfolk in the American Hockey League last season. He played in 45 regular-season games for the Ducks in 2014-15 and totaled five goals and five assists. He added goals in consecutive playoff games against the Winnipeg Jets and the Calgary Flames.

In 22 games for Norfolk, Etem collected 13 goals and eight assists, bringing his career AHL totals to 51 goals and 41 assists in 119 games.

Etem has played in 112 career NHL games in three seasons and has 51 goals and 41 assists.

The 23-year-old Lindberg produced 28 goals and 28 assists in 75 regular-season games for the Hartford Wolf Pack in the American Hockey League in 2014-15. He added three goals and 13 assists in 15 playoff games.

The New Jersey Devils avoided arbitration with Eric Gelinas, signing the young defenseman to a two-year contract extension worth $3.15 million.

The 24-year-old Gelinas had six goals and 19 points in 61 regular-season games for the Devils in 2014-15 but was a healthy scratch for six games in February and for two games in December after concerns arose about his defensive awareness.

In Gelinas' first full season with the Devils in 2013-14, he scored seven goals and had 29 points in 60 games.

The Montreal Canadiens and forward Michael Bournival reached agreement on a one-year, two-way contract for the 2015-16 season.

The 23-year-old Bournival saw action in 29 games for the Canadiens last season and registered three goals, including one game-winner, and two assists.

Bournival has 89 games of NHL experience during the regular season with the Canadiens, totaling 10 goals and nine assists. (Editing by Andrew Both)
