[July 15, 2015]  July 14 (The Sports Xchange) - Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson was cited for DUI for the second time since January in an early Tuesday morning arrest in Los Angeles.

Lawson was arrested at 2:29 a.m. and driving at a high rate of speed on Highway 101, according to California Highway Patrol.

Lawson also was arrested for DUI on Jan. 23 in Denver and was scheduled to appear in court Friday. That court date could be impacted by a second arrest in less than six months. He was given pre-trial supervision until his Friday court date, and Tuesday's arrest is in violation of those terms.

Lawson, 27, has played his entire six-year career with the Nuggets and averaged 15.2 points and 9.6 assists last season.
