[July 16, 2015]  July 15 (The Sports Xchange) - The Dallas Stars signed defenseman Johnny Oduya, formerly of the Chicago Blackhawks, to a two-year contract.

Financial terms of the contract were not released, but ESPN.com reported the deal is worth $7.5 million.

Oduya, 33, posted 10 two goals and eight assists for the Blackhawks in 2014-15. In 23 postseason games, he registered five assists and 63 blocked shots.

The Arizona Coyotes signed defenseman Philip Samuelsson and forward Brendan Shinnimin to one-year, two-way contracts.

Samuelsson, 23, appeared in four games with the Coyotes in 2014-15 and has played in nine NHL games with the Coyotes and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Shinnimin, 24, had one assist in 12 games with the Coyotes last season.

The Montreal Canadiens and defenseman Jarred Tinordi have agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract.

The 23-year-old Tinordi, a first-round picke in 2010 by the Canadiens, played in 13 games with the Canadiens last season, recording two assists and 19 penalty minutes.

The Los Angeles Kings signed forward Andy Andreoff, a restricted free agent, to a two-year contract.

Andreoff, 24, played in 18 games last season with the Kings, recording two goals and an assist with a plus-1 rating and 18 penalty minutes.

The New York Rangers have agreed to terms with restricted free agents Jesper Fast, J.T. Miller and Dylan McIlrath.

The team did not announce details, but the New York Post reported that Fast's deal is for $1.9 million over two years and Miller's deal is for one year and $874,000. The New York Daily News reported that McIlrath's agreement is a one-year contract worth $600,000.

Fast, a 23-year-old forward, played in 58 games with the Rangers last season, registering six goals and eight assists. In 19 playoff games, he recorded three goals and three assists.

Miller, a 22-year-old forward, played in 58 games with the Rangers last season, recording 10 goals and 13 assists.

McIlrath, 23, skated in 73 games with Hartford last season, registering 17 points (six goals), a plus-five rating and 165 penalty minutes.

The Detroit Red Wings re-signed center Louis-Marc Aubry to a one-year contract.

Aubry, 23, was drafted by Detroit in the third round of the 2010 NHL Draft.

The Boston Bruins signed first-round defenseman Jakub Zboril to an entry-level contract after drafting him 13th overall last month.

Zboril, an 18-year-old from Brno, Czech Republic, played last season with Saint John of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he recorded 13 goals, 20 assists and 73 penalty minutes in 44 games.

The Florida Panthers agreed to terms with their top draft pick, Lawson Crouse, on a three-year, entry-level contract.

Crouse, who was selected by the Florida Panthers 11th overall last month, led the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League in goals (29) and points (51), while playing in 56 games last season.

The Calgary Flames signed second-round defenseman Oliver Kylington to a three-year, entry-level contract.
