[July 16, 2015]  LINCOLN - There’s a safer alternative to driving for anyone who has too much to drink celebrating at the Arts in the Park event on July 17 and July 18. Free rides home will be available from the festival and local establishments that serve alcohol. The Safe Ride program is a free ride home sponsored by the Healthy Communities Partnership.

The program requires participants to ask the bartender or event volunteers for a Safe Ride ticket to receive a free ride home. A Green Cab of Lincoln provides the ride. Rides are only provided from the establishment to the rider’s home within the city limits of Lincoln.

Healthy Communities Partnership is a collaborative organization comprised of community agencies and private individuals striving to create the healthiest community in America. It is funded by the Abraham Lincoln Healthcare Foundation.
