LINCOLN
- It is well-known that the Lincoln and Logan County community is
particularly endowed with performance talent. Some of that influence
came about through decades of two colleges, Lincoln Christian
University and Lincoln College, offering fine arts performance
degrees. The educational institutions have drawn teachers into the
community with exceptional performance arts skills. As generations
of talented families, who also honed those in the community into
performance skills, our community became a composite of members with
passion and skill in performance.

For many decades the area benefited from summer season
productions directed and performed by area talent participating in
Lincoln Community Theatre.
Sadly, the loss of several leaders in this circle led to a lapse of
several seasons since the last LCT performance.
Now, through the interest of about 50 talented and dedicated
residents, summer-time live performance will once again strike its
place on the stage of the Johnston Center for Performing Arts on
Lincoln College campus.
This weekend's LCT performances are the resurgence of an amazing
talent base and great performances. "LCT an Encore!" will feature
great music and performances directed by Tim Searby.
LCT an Encore! will include the greatest songs from past productions
and music from shows yet to be produced.
