[July 18, 2015]  July 17 (The Sports Xchange) - The Nashville Predators signed forward Calle Jarnkrok to a one-year, $735,000 contract Friday.

Jarnkrok, 23, has amassed 27 points (nine goals) in 86 NHL contests since making his debut with the Predators on March 21, 2014.

During his first full NHL season in 2014-15, the Gavle, Sweden, native suited up for 74 regular-season games (seven goals, 11 assists) and all six playoff games (two assists).

The New York Rangers agreed to terms with restricted free agent defenseman Mat Bodie.

Bodie, 25, skated in 75 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League last season, registering 32 points (five goals), a plus-11 rating and 42 penalty minutes.

He led AHL rookie defensemen in assists and tied for first among AHL rookie defensemen in points in 2014-15. The 6-foot, 175-pound Bodie also skated in 15 playoff games with the Wolf Pack, recording three goals and four assists.

The New Jersey Devils re-signed forward Stefan Matteau to a two-year contract.

The deal has an annual average value of $612,500.

Matteau, 21, will enter his third full year with the Devils' organization after spending the 2014-15 season with both Albany of the American Hockey League and New Jersey.

He appeared in 61 games with the A-Devils last season, finishing tied for sixth on the club in scoring with 27 points (12 goals).
