She was united in marriage to George W. Rogers on July 12, 1950 in Decatur. He preceded her in death in 1997.

Betty is survived by her sister, Linda (Leo) Hergenroder; her Children, Rodney (Pam) Rogers and Rhonda (Dave) Roberts; grandchildren, Dave Roberts. Tracy Karr. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, and brother Robert (Bobby)Meyers.

In her early adulthood, she worked as a hand painter in a ceramics factory; which was a job that she always spoke fondly of. After Betty had children she was a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed many years of gardening, and yard work; was a lifelong passion of hers. She never tired of talking about plants and flowers. She was an active member of the Beason United Methodist Church, where she served on many committees over the years.

She enjoyed many years of many grandchildren and would treasure and speak of the great times they’d share reading books, playing cards, etc. Betty enjoyed shopping and dining out very much.

We would like to thank all the staff at Liberty Village for making her time there one she enjoyed.

Services for Betty will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with Rev. Darrel Howard officiating.
