[July 29, 2015]  LINCOLN - This year folks who wish to purchase tickets for grandstand events at the Logan County Fair will find that something has changed.

The small cabin-like ticket shack that has been in use for the past several years will no longer be the place to go for tickets.

According to Mike Maske, Secretary for the Logan County Fair Association, the decision was made this year to move ticket sales to a more secure location on the fairgrounds.

At the south end of the grandstand are two green block buildings joined by a walk-thru passageway. The farthest south of the two buildings is the fair office. For the past several years, the north building has been an extension of the office area.

This year, Maske said the board decided it was time to re-purpose that space into the ticket office for the fair grandstand shows. He noted that there were several advantages to making this move, including that it provided a more secure environment for the people who sell the tickets.

Maske said for some folks wishing to buy tickets; it may take some getting used to as the little brown shack has been the go-to place for the past several years. To help people find the new location, the Fair Association decided to put up a very nice, very large, lighted sign between the two buildings.

While it may be different, Maske said it should not be an inconvenience for fairgoers, once they learn where they need to go to buy tickets.
