[June 01, 2015]  LINCOLN - The Lincolnland Technical Education Center Building Trades Class has completed another house and property renovation. The 2015 project was in the same neighborhood as the 2014 project. Both properties were similar, in foreclosure, sitting empty in the Mayfair Subdivision and in need of attention.

With the eye of a master craftsman, Mr. Justin Dietrich led 25 students in a redesign that transformed the property inside and outside for an all fresh new look.

The 1268 sq. ft. upper living area at 250 Southgate Drive has three bedrooms and one-and-a-half bathrooms and is ready for sale at $107,000.

Renovated from top to bottom the house offers charm and practicality with hardwood flooring in bedrooms and living room, a new fireplace, built-in book cases and an upstairs laundry room. The kitchen has new slate floor tiles, recessed lighting, cabinets and counter tops, and appliances. There is lots of storage space throughout the house.

The basement is refreshed, bright and ready for use as additional living and/or storage space, great for play, entertainment, study, or bedrooms. An additional bathroom could easily be added.

Head out the back door and in back of the two-car garage you'll find an enchanting pergola connected to a large deck that extends living space into the outdoors.

The Lincolnland Technical Education Center is hosted by Lincoln Community High School with Robert Bagby serving as its director. LTEC offers classes to students in surrounding school districts.
