[June 01, 2015]  LINCOLN - Billy J. O’Brien ,82, passed away at 9:15 p.m. on May 24, 2015 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Visitation: 10 a.m. Friday, May 29, one hour prior to the service at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service: 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Obituary

Billy J. O’Brien ,82, passed away at 9:15 p.m. on May 24, 2015 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Billy was born on February 27, 1933 in Mount Pulaski; son of Lawrence “Toby” and Mary Zimmermann O’ Brien. He married Wilma Yeazle on October 4, 1971 in Lincoln. She survives him in Lincoln.

Also surviving Billy are his step children: Linda Littrell of Lincoln; Bill (Connie) Yeazle of Lincoln; Dana (Debbie) Yeazle of North Carolina; one sister: Nancy Mittelsteadt of Mount Pulaski; two brothers: Larry O’ Brien of Mount Pulaski; Danny (Shelia) O’ Brien of Elkhart; Many Grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Billy was a NRA member and also a member of The American Legion Post #263.

Services for Billy will be 11:00 a.m. Friday May 29, 2015 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Ron Otto officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial at New Union Cemetery will follow the Service where full military rites will be accorded. Memorials may be given to The Humane Society of Logan County.
