[June 02, 2015]  MOUNT PULASKI - Mount Pulaski has been selected by WCIA Channel 3 to be the focus of their “Our Town” coverage. Channel 3 will be recording segments to showcase Mount Pulaski and will be airing them the week of July 6 (daily stories will air on the morning show, the 4:00 p.m., the 5:00 p.m. and the 6:00 p.m. newscasts throughout the week) and will end with a live broadcast on July 10th here in Mount Pulaski.

The Mount Pulaski Courthouse Foundation and the City of Mount Pulaski are planning an “Our Town” celebration for Friday, July 10, 2015 from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (times are subject to change as more information develops) on the square.

Many plans are being made to attract people to the square for this special occasion. To date an Abraham Lincoln impersonator, Twinkles the Clown, a tractor show, a swap meet, a 167th Birthday Celebration for the Courthouse, and honoring the Courthouse volunteers, are on the schedule, just to name a few.

The Courthouse Foundation is also looking for help from the community and residents of Logan County. They hope to put together a collection of ‘Things that make our town unique”.

The foundation is looking for:

  • Interesting stories about the town
  • Interesting or memorable events
