[June 03, 2015]  CLINTON - Lucinda Baker Underwood, 86, of Clinton, passed away on June 2, 2015 at Liberty Village in Clinton.

Visitation: From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Thursday, June 4, at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.

Service: Thursday at 10 a.m. immediately following the visitation at the funeral home

Obituary

Lucinda Baker Underwood, 86, of Clinton, passed away on June 2, 2015 at Liberty Village in Clinton.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Underwood will be held at 10:00 a.m. following the visitation with Pastor Stephen Killion officiating.

Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville.

Lucinda was born October 21, 1928, in Waynesville, the daughter of Samuel C. and Mae Grant Baker. She married Lewis Edward Underwood on December 10, 1949, in Lincoln. He passed away on May 2, 1956, in Lincoln.

Lucinda is survived by her children: Bobby (Pamela) Baker of Lincoln, Jackie Underwood of Clinton, Donald Underwood of Clinton, Phyllis Underwood of Clinton, Margaret Finn of Clinton and Susie Underwood of Clinton; 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Director

She was preceded in death by one sister, Mamie Summers; one son, Edward Underwood, one daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters.

Lucinda was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being with her family. She was employed with Dr. John Warner Hospital in Clinton for 34 years. Lucinda was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be deeply missed and loved.

Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
