[June 05, 2015]  LINCOLN - The Lincoln Elks Lodge #914 will host a workshop on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 for representatives of civic and fraternal organizations, social service agencies and community groups who create and/or manage projects that improve the quality of life for residents of Logan County.

The intent of the workshop is to explain the types of Elks’ grants available and to solicit ideas from workshop attendees as to where grant and charitable funds might be best used in the community. The workshop will begin at 6:30pm, at the Lincoln Elks Lodge.

Following the workshop, the Board of Directors will be evaluating all proposals to identify where grant money may be invested to render the most benefit to the community.

In the past, the Lincoln Elks Lodge has donated money to such things as the Lincoln Rec Center’s youth athletics teams, literacy in Logan County, drug awareness projects, Veterans assistance, etc. This does not include the money that the Elks gives in scholarships.

Attendees are encouraged to bring brochures and literature to share that explains the charitable endeavors of their organization or group.

There is no cost to attend this workshop at the Lincoln Elks Lodge, 1020 1525th St. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 6:30pm.
