[June 17, 2015]  LINCOLN - Logan County Safety Complex, Blue Room February 10, 2015

Present: Chuck Ruben-Chairman; Bob Farmer; Andy Anderson; Rick Aylesworth; Gene Rohlfs; Emily Davenport

Mr. Ruben called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.

A motion was made by Mr. Aylesworth seconded by Mr. Farmer, to approve the minutes of the January 13, 2015 meeting as printed. Motion passed.

Old Business:

Auditors:

Mr. Ruben reported the auditors are finished.

 

Public Fee for Copies:

Mr. Ruben reported several offices do not charge fees for public copies. Mrs. Turner’s office charges 25 cents if it’s not under FOIA and if it’s under FOIA the first 50 pages are free. Mrs. Dugan charges for copies of tax bills or related tax payment information. There is no charge if they send electronically. If it is a commercial request, the charge is $5.00 per copy as allowed by statute 35ILCS 200/20-12. Mrs. Dugan’s office charges $1.00 a copy for non- commercial. These would not be considered FOIA requests. Mrs. Kelley’s office follows statute number 705 ILCS 105/27. Copy fees are $2.00 for the first page, 50 cents for the next 19 pages, and 25 cents for any additional pages. Certified copies are $5.00. Mr. Ruben would like to explore more regarding these public fees. No action was taken at this time.

New Business:

Computer for Logan County Waste Agency:

Mr. Ruben presented the committee with a quote from Viscon. The committee discussed where to take the money from. The committee agreed on Building and Grounds pool. A motion was made by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Rohlfs, to approve up to $1,150.00 for Logan County Waste Agency’s computer. Motion passed.

Mr. Anderson reviewed expenses for the committee. No issues at this time.

Mr. Aylesworth reviewed revenues. No issues at this time.

A motion was made by Mr. Aylesworth, seconded by Mrs. Davenport, to approve the bills. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Aylesworth, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting ended at 5:45pm.
