[June 17, 2015]  LINCOLN - Blue Room - Logan County Safety Complex February 5, 2015

Logan County Ambulance Meeting

Present: Rick Aylesworth ; Bob Farmer; Scott Schaffenacker ; Gene Rohlfs; David Blankenship; Emily Davenport

Guests: Steve Siltman

Mr. Aylesworth called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm.

A motion was made by Mrs. Davenport, seconded by Mr. Farmer to approve the minutes from January 8, 2015 as printed. Motion passed.

Quarterly Budget Report:

Mr. Siltman provided the quarterly report. Mr. Siltman reported he needed up with
$431,848.14 gross profit after expenses. Mr. Siltman will prove a printed report next month for the committee .

Mr. Siltman presented the January call report. There were 377 calls in January. The volume for January and February is 826 calls.

Vehicle Status Report::

Mr. Siltman reported all vehicles are in working order. Mr. Siltman prepaid for the new ambulance that will be coming in September. The new ambulance cost $230,395.

New Business: Nothing to report.

A motion was made by Mrs. Davenport, seconded by Mr. Farmer to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm.


Logan County Coroner Meeting

Present: Rick Aylesworth; Bob Farmer; Scott Schaffenacker; Gene Rohlfs; David Blankenship; Emily Davenport

Guests: Doug Brooks, Bob Thomas

Mr. Aylesworth called the meeting to order at 7:40 pm.

A motion was made by Mr. Rohlfs, seconded by Mrs. Davenport, to approve the minutes from January 8, 2015 as printed. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Rohlfs seconded by Mrs. Davenport, to approve the bills as presented for payment. Motion passed.

Old Business:

Mr. Thomas presented the January call report. There were 26 calls, with 2 requiring autopsies. There were 2 transports.

New Business:

Mr. Thomas purchased a van from Peasley Funeral Home. Mr. Thomas, Mr. Sprague and Mr. Brooke attended the Mt. Vernon Winter Conference; the conference was on death scene investigation, preservation, and analysis. Mr. Thomas, Mr. Sprague and Mr. Brooke enjoyed the class.

Mr. Thomas presented the summary of expenses, reimbursements and balance sheet for review.

A motion was made by Mr. Rohlfs, seconded by Mr. Blankenship, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:50 pm.


Logan County EMA Meeting

Present: Rick Aylesworth; Bob Farmer; Dave Blankenship; Emily Davenport; Gene Rohlfs; Scott Schaffenacker

Guests: Terry Storer

Mr. Aylesworth called the meeting to order at 7:51pm.

A motion was made by Mr. Rohlfs, seconded by Mr. Blankenship, to approve the minutes from January 8, 2015 as printed. Motion passed.

Mr. Storer presented the January, 2015 call report. EMA coordinated with Elkhart officials for possible water distribution during a loss of the public water system. EMA participated in the 2015 Clinton power plant dam emergency drill.

Snow Storm Update:

Mr. Storer reported 2.4 inches of snow in Lincoln; the snow went north of Lincoln.

Air Conditioner-Server Room:

Mr. Storer reported hopefully the new air conditioner will be installed Monday. Kitchen: Mr. Storer reported it's a work in process.

Old Business: None

New Business:

Mr. Storer has partially finished the Emergency Operational Plan. Mr. Storer has to have the plan turned into the State by next week.

A motion was made by Mr. Farmer seconded by Mr. Schaffenacker, to pay the bills as presented for payment. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Blankenship seconded by Mr. Rohlfs, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:58 pm.


Logan County Sheriff's Meeting

Present: Rick Aylesworth; David Helper; Scott Schaffenacker; Gene Rohlfs; David Blankenship; Emily Davenport

Guests: Sheriff Nichols

Mr. Aylesworth called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm.

A motion was made by Mrs. Davenport, seconded by Mr. Rohlfs to approve the minutes from January 8, 2015 as printed. Motion passed.
 


Old Business:

New Vehicles:

Mr. Nichols gave an update on what the new squad cars will have installed in them. Mr. Nichols will have a price next month for the committee. The new vehicles should be delivered in March.


New Business: None

Sheriff's Report:

Ira Underwood resigned on Monday, February 3, 2015. Mr. Nichols already hired a replacement. Nothing to further report.

A motion was made by Mr. Rohlfs, seconded by Mrs. Davenport, to pay the bills as presented for payment. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Farmer, seconded by Mr. Rohlfs to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 8:08 pm.
