[June 22, 2015]  LINCOLN - Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital has announced Jennifer Glascock of Lincoln as the June Employee of the Month. Glascock has worked  for the past 8 years in the ALMH surgery department.

Glascock was nominated for the recognition by a co-worker who wanted to highlight her willingness to share her knowledge. “She makes the operating room a great place to work and her skills produce great results,” said her nominator.

Originally from Veedersburg, Indiana, Glascock moved to Lincoln in 2007 and has lived here ever since. Glascock earned her associate’s of applied science from Ivy Tech Community College and completed her Certified Surgery Technologist credential in Lafayette, Indiana in 2007. Last November, Glasscock continued her education by earning her Certified Surgical First Assistance (CSFA) certification after completing coursework through Madisonville Community College and clinical work with orthopedic surgeon David Olysav, MD, of Springfield Clinic. Both certifications required exams from the Association Surgical Technologists/Assistants.

In her role at ALMH, Glascock can be found in the operating rooms helping with surgeries or in the endoscopy suite helping with procedures. At times, she works with Sterile Processing to make sure the instruments are in working order. Glascock also researches, orders, and trouble shoots problems with equipment while ensuring that the hospital has all the supplies it needs for upcoming cases.
