[June 22, 2015]  LINCOLN - Frank E. Krueger, 86, passed away at 6:40 p.m. on June 19, 2015 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Medical Center, in Lincoln.

Service: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 24, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln

Frank E. Krueger, 86, passed away at 6:40 p.m. on June 19, 2015 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Medical Center, in Lincoln.


Frank was born on August 7, 1928 in Bloomington; the son of Frank J. and Ella (Hoepner) Krueger. He married Ruth Klockenga on November 21, 1948 in Hartsburg. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2008.


Surviving Frank are his children; Kaye (Jim) Wessbecher of Lincoln; Grandchildren: Jaime Wessbecher of St. Louis, MO. Adam (Sara) Wessbecher of Lincoln; brother: Melvin (Carol) Krueger of Normal, and several nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Delmar Krueger.

 

Frank was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. of East Peoria after 43 years of service. He was a devoted and proud husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed all sports and he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Services for Frank will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 24, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lincoln. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Frank’s name to Zion Lutheran Church or Zion Lutheran School.

Services were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
