[June 26, 2015]  June 25 (The Sports Xchange) - Dustin Pedroia was placed on the 15-day disabled list with right hamstring strain Thursday after the Boston Red Sox second baseman pulled up limping on a two-run single in the sixth inning of Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park.

Pedroia, 31, has hit a team-best .306 with 34 runs, 14 doubles, nine home runs and 33 RBIs in 69 games this season.

The St. Louis Cardinals activated right-hander Lance Lynn from the 15-day disabled list.

Lynn, out with a right forearm strain, was scheduled to start Thursday night's series finale in Miami against the Marlins.

The New York Yankees reinstated second baseman Stephen Drew from the paternity list.

Drew went on leave Tuesday and missed the last two games. He is hitting just .190, but has 11 home runs and 24 RBIs this season.

The Texas Rangers recalled right-hander Spencer Patton from Triple-A Round Rock and optioned outfielder Michael Choice to the same minor league team.

Choice was recalled before Wednesday's game and went 0-for-1 and committed an error. This is Patton's third stint with the Rangers this year. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
