On Friday, June 19, the
Lincoln D.A.R.E organization hosted its 20th annual golf outing at
the Elks Golf Course in Lincoln. The annual event is the primary
fundraiser for D.A.R.E. with the dollars earned going to support
D.A.R.E. activities for youth in the Lincoln school districts.
At the end of the day, the grand finale was a fabulous meal catered
by Guzzardo's Restaurant.
In addition to the food and other activities, a raffle was held with
drawings taking place during the dinner. This year there was an
excellent selection of items, many of which were donated to D.A.R.E
by local businesses. During the raffle when a name was called, the
winner was permitted to view all the items on display and select his
or her choice.
Drawings continued until all the prizes had been selected.
