[March 02, 2015]  LINCOLN - Norma Joyce Comstock, 82, of Lincoln passed away at 8:40 a.m. February 26, 2015 at Christian Village, Lincoln.

Visitation: Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home

Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at the funeral home.

Obituary

LINCOLN-Norma Joyce Comstock, 82, of Lincoln passed away at 8:40 a.m. February 26, 2015 at Christian Village, Lincoln.

Norma was an Election Judge for 34 years in East Lincoln 9, taught Sunday school, and helped with Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, and also involved with school P.T.A. while her children were growing up. She was a homemaker. Norma was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln.

Norma was born June 21, 1932 in rural Atlanta, the daughter of Victor R. and Laura Hunt Snyder. She married Robert Comstock March 17, 1951. He preceded her in death January 15, 2008.

Norma is survived by her children: Robert L. Comstock, Jr. of Belleville; David (Denise) Comstock of Lincoln; Richard Dean (Barb) Comstock of Jupiter, FL; Susan (Kendall) Hurley of Lincoln; one brother: Elmer Snyder of Lincoln; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister: Carol Mielke.

Services for Norma will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Rev. Adam Quine officiating. Burial will be in Union Station Cemetery, Union, Illinois. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in her name to the Logan County Food Pantry; American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
