Obituary

Elmer "Lynn" Miller, 74, of New Holland, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at St. John's Hospice.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland.

Lynn was born May 2, 1940 in Ottawa, the son of Elmer Miller and Esther (Saul) Miller. He married Donna M. Gajewski on November 2, 1963 in Athens.

Mr. Miller was a member of the National Guard. Lynn was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Lincoln. He was a farmer in New Holland all of his life and raised Angus Cattle. He was a lifetime member of the American Angus Association, a member of the Illinois Angus Association, a member of the Lemoine Valley Angus Association where he was Past President, member of the Logan County Angus Association where he was Past President, member of the Illinois Beef Association, Assistant Beef Superintendent at the Logan County Fair, member of the Flach Memorial Day Show, member of the Logan County Farm Bureau, a Logan County Calf Scramble Committee Member, a basketball referee for 18 years, a New Holland Middletown School Board Member, a die hard Cubs fan, and loved to play euchre and pinochle.

Funeral Directors

Surviving are his wife Donna Miller; his daughter Tracey Rawlings; his grandson Troy Rawlings; and his brothers Tom Miller and Chuck Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Troy Lynn Miller, and an infant brother.

Memorials may be made to the Logan County Calf Scramble, St. Jude's, or to the organization of the Donor's Choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
